Hello:
You are invited to participate in a Mississippi State University survey about your farming practices and perceptions of your environment. In this survey, farmers of the Big Sunflower watershed (all land that drains to the Big Sunflower River) will be asked to complete a survey that asks questions about their farm management practices. In order to understand the community and environmental needs of the area, we first must understand the land uses and perceptions of the major stakeholders. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete the questionnaire and we will enter all completed surveys into a $100.00 raffle to show our appreciation.

Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. The survey will help to inform the department of Landscape Architecture about the technological needs of farmers in the Delta. Our ultimate goal is to develop a digital program and software that will help YOU decide what practices are advantageous and bring a larger return on your investment with minimal impact to the surrounding environment. There are no foreseeable risks associated with this project. However, if you feel uncomfortable answering any questions, you can withdraw from the survey at any point or skip any question you would like not to answer. It is very important for us to learn your opinions.

Your survey responses will be strictly confidential and data from this research will be reported only in the aggregate. Your information will be coded and will remain confidential.
